Like DSL, Feather Linux is a KNOPPIX remaster. The current version, 0.7.5, is about 115MB in size. Older versions are closer to 64MB in size.

vi[]
Currently, Feather has e3vi but no vi command. This can be fixed by installing nvi or vim.
Office suite[]
Remove the Siag spreadsheet and Abiword, replacing them with the latest version (3.6.0) of Siag Office. This will save some space since the Siag office suite is lightweight. It also adds this functionality:
- Office suite integration
- Presentation/Animation tool
MPlayer[]
Upgrade MPlayer to the latest version. Include MEncoder. Make sure that:
- It is possible to add non-free codecs
- Captioning/subtitles work correctly
- Live.COM streaming media support works
Possibly include basic DVD navigation support.
GUI[]
Use IceWM instead of *box. Use rox instead of xtdesktop.
